What's Good:   City Stadium is a plain, basic facility.  It's unpretentious, has an easygoing atmosphere, and (like many older parks) is very comfortable if the crowd is modest.  The ballpark staff, as well as most of the fans I encountered, were very friendly.  A roof covers the section behind the plate.  There's nothing particularly wonderful about this place, but nothing terrible either.

What's Not So Good:  The oldest ballpark in the Carolina League, the stadium is showing its age.  The few rows of box seats are those old, small, hard ones with the metal armrests that always seem to be poking you, and the rest of the seating area is bench seating.
