What's Good: For fans of quirky ballparks with odd field dimensions, there was a lot to like. The main grandstand was nothing more than a series of benches, but a full roof covered a large part of the seating area. The box seats (at least the first few rows of them) were actually below field level, so sitting in the front row kind of gave the same perspective as sitting in the dugout. The concessions areas were scattered around behind the seating area is a haphazard manner -- this place was the total opposite of most of the newer, more antiseptic ballparks.
What's Not So Good: As with many older parks, there was a small amount of discomfort that accompanied a trip to the stadium. Seating was old, and during large turnouts restroom and concession space was inadequate. You could also smell the mascot if you were within 10 feet of him -- it gets pretty hot and muggy down there.
