Stadium Minor League History:
Texas League 1981-present

What's Good: Drillers Stadium doesn't have anything that stands out as unique or particularly satisfying, perhaps because of its recent vintage. Built in 1981 and renovated ten years later, it's a perfectly fine place to see a game, though without the history of older ballparks or the high-tech gimmickry of the new ones. Maybe the best thing about it is that foul territory is very tiny, subsequently putting the seats very close to the field. Also, a roof (even though its very plain and lacking the intricate trusswork of older ballparks) provides welcome relief from the elements, no small gesture in a city with conspiratorial weather like Tulsa. A good variety of food was available at reasonable prices, and the ushers and other staff were among the friendliest I've encountered.
What's Not So Good: Not much to complain about here. The setting (at the corner of the state fairgrounds, facing a major intersection) isn't particularly scenic, but the ballpark is easy to find, and the fairgrounds parking lot has plenty of spaces.
