Stadium Minor League History:
Southern League 1984-present
Current Status:
Home of the Greenville Braves of the Southern
League (AA)
What's Good: This is a plain, fairly comfortable stadium. The seating area is sunk into the ground, and the concourse behind the seats allows a view of the field from the concession areas. Much of the seating around the infield is comfy individual seats, and the playing surface is in nice shape. The Braves also often field competative teams at the AA level, so fans here get to see a lot of good players.
What's Not So Good: While comfortable enough, it's also devoid of any character and thus instantly forgetable. There's no roof, and many of the concession stands are merely little huts set up around the open-air concourse down the lines. It's pretty basic -- a nice enough place to see a game, but nothing about it sticks with you after you've left.
