The Good: Hmmm. Well, there's plenty of parking, and the field is in great shape. A good variety of food and beer is also available, and they have some terrific people working there (hi, Kathy!).

The Not So Good: Elfstrom Stadium is a good representative of the 1990s version of "family entertainment"-style minor league ball -- the stadium's usually packed, with plenty of kids running around doing everything but watching the game. There's lots of sound effects and on-field promotions, but the stadium itself is a dud. Built on a landfill, the grandstand is comfortable enough, but completely devoid of any character or interesting features. An expansion is slated for the 1999-2000 off season, perhaps with a second seating deck, though recently plans seem to have been scaled down. |
